Power Unit

The 249cc DOHC liquid cooled single cylinder engine is designed under the concept Light weight, Compact, High-Output and High-Efficiency.
A higher charging efficiency has been achieved by positioning the intake port on the front side of the cylinder and the exhaust at the rear. The cylinder has an inclining angle of 15 degrees to the rear which contributes to the concentration of mass.Positioning the balancer-shaft above the crank-shaft has made the unit compact in overall length.

Frame and Body

Although based on the RS125, the frame has a totally revised stiffness and balance for the new four-stroke unit. The new framework made of high rigidity, light weight 7000 series pressed aluminum alloy, provides optimized flexibility and superb riding control. Revised concentration of mass has resulted in lighter weight and extra room to position a five liter air-box(excluding the oil catch tank capacity).
